On December 7, 1941, the battleship USS Arizona was sunk during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Of the ship's 1,514 crewmen, 1,177 were killed, the largest loss of life ever suffered in one day aboard a US warship. Although the USS Arizona is remembered primarily for its destruction on America's first day of the Second World War, the ship nonetheless enjoyed a proud and distinguished twenty-five year naval career.

Keith, I work for NPS so I'm always interested when people visit Park Service sites. Great Pictures! I'll continue to look at your blog everyday to see what new pics you add as you explore Hawaii.
Thank you for stopping by to comment. I truly had a great time in Hawaii. I truly wished I had more time to explore this exotic island.
